Challenge

The previous dashboard had three core problems: no brand coherence (it looked disconnected from the rest of the Sovrun ecosystem), unclear visual hierarchy that made it difficult to identify what mattered in the data, and scattered datasets that forced users to piece together the financial picture themselves. For a tool meant to build investor confidence, it was doing the opposite. A financial report that's hard to read is a financial report that erodes trust.

Approach

I redesigned the entire platform with a focus on clarity and brand integration. The visual direction pulls from Sovrun's space exploratory brand system, but applied with restraint. Every decorative element earns its place by guiding attention, not competing with the data. I restructured the information architecture to surface the most critical financial metrics first, then let users drill into detail on their own terms. The layout was redesigned to give data room to breathe, spreading elements across the viewport so nothing fights for attention. On the technical side, we implemented optimized animations using JSON, Three.js, Tailwind, and CSS3 to add visual polish without sacrificing load performance.

Outcome

The redesigned dashboard shipped as a cohesive, brand-aligned financial reporting tool that gives Sovrun's investors and partners a clear, trustworthy view of the company's financial health. It replaced a fragmented experience with one that builds confidence at first glance. The platform now serves as both a transparency tool and a brand touchpoint.
